BIG network = 56 member groups covering over 55 countries
With breast cancer being the most common cancer in women worldwide, global collaboration and a shared vision are necessary to fight this devastating disease efficiently.
BIG encompasses 56 member groups worldwide, which are breast cancer focused collaborative research groups or data centres. Some BIG groups are regional, some are national and several are international. Each is associated with several to several hundred member hospitals and investigators. This represents several thousand institutions worldwide.

3. The role of BIG members
Each member group is represented within the BIG network by one voting and several non-voting delegates.
The final decision-making body of BIG is its General Assembly, consisting of the member groups embodied by their voting representatives.
The General Assembly meets once per year, usually during the ASCO Annual Meeting in June.
Find here BIG's Guidelines for Voting Representatives.
Membership to BIG is open to breast cancer focused collaborative research groups or data centres from around the world. It allows its members to interact regularly and to collaborate in clinical trials and translational research.
Groups interested in joining BIG should review BIG's Mission & Principles of Research Conduct, BIG's Legal Statutes, and submit a Membership Application Form. You can request the form in WORD version from email@example.com.
According to BIG's procedures, membership applications are only discussed once a year during our General Assembly that is held in June during ASCO. Membership applications for 2016 are open. Applications will be discussed during our General Assembly at ASCO (June 2016). Kindly send us your application latest by 15 March 2016.
